back in the lateish aughts, i spent a good amount of time recording under the name 8088 onto and with an old laptop using some pretty silly equipment, plugins, and techniques. i had amassed several EPs and other tidbits i was never able to promote other than through telling people and linking them directly. some of it got released, most of it didn't. i was involved with some netlabels (incliding dadaist audio and k-pdt,) but as a person who feels like a burden to everyone, i didn't end up releasing the majority of my recordings at the time.

i decided that now was as good of a time as any to do that.

most of the stuff here is pretty poorly mixed and arranged, not to mention the jumpy volumes (watch out for that last track.) i haven't edited any of these recordings in any way, and the artwork is the original used for the first 8088 EP. i chose not to change anything because i feel it has its own sound tethered to the time in which it was created. any remixing or rerecording would just.... not work for this at all. these songs wanted to be released for awhile, and it feels like a weight off my chest getting them out there.
